Environment Policy

We believe in protecting the beauty we explore. Discover how Hangover Destinations practices green tourism to ensure pristine peaks, clean coastlines, and thriving local cultures.

Our Ecological Mission

As travel planners, we witness first-hand the impact of human footprints on natural ecosystems. If left unchecked, littering, plastic accumulation, and soil damage can permanently alter beautiful destinations like the Western Ghats and Himalayan valleys.

Our Environment Policy is not just a document; it's a code of conduct followed by our team, guides, drivers, and travelers on every adventure.

The Green Traveler Promise

"To preserve the wild, protect the waters, respect local traditions, and leave every campsite cleaner than we found it."

Sustainable Tourism Pillars

How we translate green concepts into actual operations on our routes.

Leave No Trace (LNT)

Whether camping on the Harishchandragad peak or walking the beaches of Gokarna, we enforce strict waste collection protocols. What we carry in, we carry out.

Plastic Reduction

We discourage single-use plastic bottles on our group trips. We advise travelers to carry reusable thermoses and provide clean, filtered bulk refill stations.

Support Local Livelihoods

We coordinate exclusively with local homestays, village cooks, and certified local guides, ensuring that tourism directly supports the native economy.

Respect Wildlife & Habitats

We maintain safe viewing distances, strictly prohibit feeding wild animals, and schedule treks along pre-established routes to minimize soil erosion.

What We Ask of Our Travelers

Before setting off on any of our packages (Gokarna, Dandeli, Manali, or Harishchandragad), we ask you to prepare the following:

  • Reusable Gear: Carry water flasks and avoid buying single-use 500ml water bottles.
  • Zero Littering: Do not throw wrapper foils, tissue papers, or organic waste along the trails. Keep a waste pocket/pouch in your backpack.
  • Noise Pollution: Refrain from playing loud music on portable speakers in wildlife reserves or silent forest campsites. Enjoy the natural soundscapes.
  • Support Local: Choose handcrafts and local fruits instead of packaged multi-national snacks. This keeps the economic footprint local and green.
